About

Anabaptist Apologist is an online resource that offers the seeker a truly Scriptural and historical alternative to the Catholic and Protestant religions.

Dissatisfied with the efforts of other reformers, the Anabaptists strove to return to a truly New Testament way of faith and practice with a strong emphasis on the Gospels and teachings of Jesus. For this reason, they were called the "Radicals" of the Reformation period and faced extreme persecution.

What usually distinguished Anabaptists from their contemporaries was believer's baptism, separation of church and state (including conscientious objection/ non-resistance), and liberty of conscience, among other things. Some groups were even Sabbatarian and Non-Trinitarian. They were the true heretics and iconoclasts of their day.

Here at Anabaptist Apologist, our main purpose is to continue the truly Radical Reformation effort of the forgotten Sabbatarian and Non-Trinitarian Anabaptist groups while also providing other Non-Conformists and Restorationists a place to have their voices heard.

About the editor

For The Editor, “Anabaptism” became more than a movement chronicled in history books, it became a source of inspiration for him to challenge the traditions and doctrines he's encountered in his own life as he's endeavored to try and follow Jesus. His study of the scriptures and church history has compelled him backwards through time from the Reformation and has introduced him to the first-century followers of Jesus known as "The Ebionites." There are many uncanny similarities between the two groups: both were threats to the burgeoning, apostate machine of state-sanctioned religion; both insisted on a Jesus-centric interpretation. He has a deep affinity for these groups and movements and, as such, seeks to share their now unpopular and scorned understandings of scripture.

He works full time as a house painter and drywaller. For fun, he enjoys writing poetry and short stories and drawing. Otherwise, he’s relaxing and spending time with his wife and children. He loves cats.
